I have the honor to enclose to you a certificate of the payment into the Commissariat chest of this station,

of Thirty three Pounds sixteen and Six pence, to be repaid £33.16.6. the sum Shillings to you by the Lord Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury.

This sum covers the amount of Official fees and stamp duty payable on the Instruments appointing Major Fane, Lieut. Pedder and myself respectively to the Office we hold in this Colony, and which has been Mr. Smith Chief Clerk..
